Poetry Goes Outside

THE IDEA for the project was born from a very special moment during a sunny day in Portugal. While visiting a quiet café, one of our team members witnessed an inspiring scene: out of nowhere, one of the guests stood up and began reciting poetry, silencing the hum of small talks and casual table conversations. This simple, yet moving act of artistic expression sparked a thought – why not share this magic beyond the borders, and so, Poetry Goes Outside began.

Our mission

The primary mission of our project is to raise awareness among younger generations about the cultural heritage of Europe. We aim to take them on a journey that will allow them to discover European poetry, exploring the most distinguished authors and their works from our partner countries. This project seeks to encourage young people to delve into poetry, a literary form that is often avoided, neglected, or considered difficult to understand. Participants will have the opportunity to explore poetry from partner countries and engage with a variety of materials related to this rich art form.

Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them.
